FALL SEASON 2020 COVID UPDATES

We would like to thank you for your patience during this difficult time. As we prepare to start this new school year with such a new normal, we think it’s best for the dancers to get adjusted to their schedule. Our fall season will start September 1st and registration will begin August 1st.
Going into the fall we will hold very small in-person classes as well as continue virtual classes. We will be adding classes and new teachers to our family. Small In-person classes will follow ALL CDC guidelines. We’ve been deep cleaning and setting up protocol to keep the dancers and ourselves safe. We will send a video explaining these changes.
During August we will contact each of you to discuss recital plans, future classes and scheduling going into the new season. Touching on recital, we are trying everything in our power to host a SAFE AND COMFORTABLE small recital. The details will depend on the guidelines at the time and since they are constantly changing, we cannot give any details right now. We absolutely wish that we could.
We deeply thank you for your support while we are navigating through this crisis the best way we can. Your continued dedication to our mission to provide your child with invaluable life skills through the performing arts ensures that we can continue doing the work we do.
We will continue to send reminders and update you all as new information becomes available. We wish you the best luck with the start of the school year. We hope to see you all soon!

Virtual Classes:
I’m super excited and ready to kick off round 2 of virtual classes. All classes will resume Monday June 22, 2020. Tuition is now due, please submit payment through our website. I’ll attach the link below.
The schedule will have (1) small change moving forward. Thursday Mini Dance class will be discontinued.
I truly appreciate all of the love, support and most of all your patience during this time. It is such a crazy time in the world and your support means the everything to me. I can’t wait to catch up with the girls and be with each of you again. We hope to see you all soon!

Dear Parents and all our little dance superstars!
We’re sorry to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, unfortunately, we will need to postpone our dance recital and picture day previously scheduled for Sunday, June 7,2020. These events are to be re-scheduled at a later date when we are able to do so safely.
We are hoping to put on a phenomenal show Saturday, September 12,2020 and Picture day will be sometime in August.
We are apologizing for any inconvenience. This is an almost impossible situation to navigate for us all. Our top priority is the health and safety of our staff and students. If you would not like to participate please let us know at your earliest convenience.

In the meantime Prosperous Kids Aftercare, and Saturday Lyrical and Jazz Class will have their costume mailed to their homes. Please email/text us the dancers name and address if it’s different than address on registration.

Hi Everyone!! DFJDC is excited, we have officially launched our Virtual Classes. We will be live streaming 1 class per week, for $25.00/monthly via ZOOM. We are doing this on a month to month basis due to not knowing when we will be able to return. You will be able to join us LIVE with a private sign in or you can be emailed a recording of the class for a later more convenient time. If you are interested in joining in on the fun and dancing with us from home, we would love to have you! Contact Quin or Joi for more information about signing up. Hello everyone!
As we enter our second week of quarantine the virtual Practice schedule will hold
Tuesday at 5:00pm will be another virtual Technique Class for any Petite Dancer and Prosperous Kids.
On Tuesday evening and Thursday Hip Hop Class Choreography Videos will be posted in Band App. Please practice and record your self doing the choreography. You can privately send it to Kyle and I via Band.
We will also be posting these class routines via Band by the end of the week. Tuesday Ballet “Voice Within” and Wednesday “I Love Me”
Thank you so much for your help during this time. The show is still in full effect after we resume our normal schedules.

Hello dance mom,
During this break we’ve received our first two batches of costumes. Tomorrow we would like to come drop costumes off at your homes.
When we drop costume off please have dancer try it on and make sure it fits, while Quin and I wait in the car. If costume does not fit. We will take it back with us and get it exchanged.
During this time we thought it would be smart to get all costume exchanges out of the way so when we return it’s smooth sailing. If this is okay with you please text either of us individually and we will make further arrangements. Thanks so much for your flexibility.

Dear Parents & Students of our Dance for Joi Dance Company
While this will impact our classes inside the studio, we will continue to deliver the dance experience you know and love at Dance for Joi Dance Company just in a slightly different way.
Now more than ever it's important for your child to have normalcy and routine. Thanks to technology we will be opening our digital doors and will be providing you with an online dance experience for your dancer to keep them moving, learning, interacting with their friends and having fun during this time.
Here are the details you need to know about our online dance experience:
• Classes will take place in Zoom (please download the app). Quin will send exact instructions on how to set up app tomorrow by noon via GroupMe and Band.
Prosperous Kids and Saturday Jazz will be Tuesday at 4:00-4:30pm
•Assignments and activities will be sent via Band App as well as Instagram and even Tik Tok.
We'll also be adding some bonuses for your dancer during this time:
• We will have Make up classes that will extend throughout season.
We will also have prizes for students who participate and finish coursework.
We have found ourselves in a new normal for the time being and we are committed to continuing to offer you the best customer service and dance experience.
